Milton should be ready - together.

Given the current chill, I’ve been thinking about our emergency response for folks caught out in the cold. The nearest warming centers are in Burlington and St. Albans. We often face other weather emergencies as well - ice storms, snow storms, and flooding, all of which can cause widespread power outages and loss of services for families.

When emergencies hit, Milton should be ready - together.

As a Selectboard candidate, one of my priorities is creating a strong local support network so no neighbor is left on their own during emergencies. Then make it known to our community.

That means planning ahead for things like warming centers during frigid weather, safe gathering places during ice storms, and clear ways to check in on seniors, families, and anyone who needs help when conditions turn dangerous.

Milton is a town that looks out for each other. With better coordination between residents, volunteers, and local resources, we can make sure help is nearby when it matters most.

I’m running to help build that kind of preparedness: practical, compassionate, and rooted in community. 💙
